Un séisme de magnitude 7.5 sur l'échelle de Richter a secoué le sud du pays hier.
Le dernier bilan fait état d'au moins six morts.

Ce mardi 23 juin 2020, la terre a tremblé au Mexique. Une forte secousse de 7.5 sur l’échelle de Richter. L’épicentre a été localisé dans la ville de Crucecita, dans l’Etat d’Oaxaca situé dans le sud du pays. Le dernier bilan fait état d’au moins six morts, de nombreux blessés et de gros dégâts matériels.

La secousse a été ressentie jusque dans la capitale Mexico où 2 personnes ont été blessées selon la mairie. Depuis la secousse, 147 répliques ont été enregistrées. Le dernier tremblement de terre important dans le pays remonte à septembre 2017, il avait fait 370 morts. Le 19 septembre 1985, un séisme de magnitude 8.1 avait frappé la capitale. Plus de 10 000 morts et de nombreux dégâts avaient été recensés.
